Solar System Installation
Bids will be received and opened by the Board of Trustees of the Argenta-Oreana Public Library District on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 4:30 PM for the installation of a ground solar array at the Oreana Public Library location. Bids will be opened at the Argenta Public Library location at 100 East Water Street, Argenta, IL 62501. Submit one copy of the bid on your own form with any additional information on products proposed to be used.
The work will take place at our Oreana location: 211 South Route 48, Oreana, IL 62554. Hard copies must be addressed to: Donna Schaal, Library Director, PO Box 278, Oreana, IL 62554 or through email at director@aopld.org.

Requirements:
- All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois law requiring the payment of Prevailing Wages by all contractors working on Public Work Projects. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and the Illinois Human Rights Act.
- No bid will be considered unless the bidder shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the Board of Trustees that the bidder has the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment, financial and physical resources available to fulfill the conditions of the contract and execute the work, should the contract be awarded such bidder.
- Bidders will examine the existing conditions and location in which the said work is to be done, and judge for themselves all the circumstances and surrounding conditions affecting the cost and nature of the work. All bids will be presumed to be based on such examination, familiarity, and judgement. The library director will be available for walk arounds by appointment only.
- Bidders should target 100% (+/- 3%) of replacement of our annual energy.
- Bidders should show proof of warranty, maintenance and customer service.
- Bidder must be registered with the Illinois Shines program and must offer assistance for state and federal reimbursement programs to the library district.
- A current electric bill for the Oreana Public Library will be provided.
- The Board of Trustees prefers products to be made in the USA.
The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof or waive any irregularities or informalities and to make an award in the best interest of the Argenta-Oreana Public Library District.
